Linux/Unix Admin
System Administrator Candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining all Network/System functions for a multi-office and multi-state operation. Qualified candidate will possess 3+ years of Network/System Engineering experience. Proficient in UNIX (SCO,Linux,HP-UX) in configuration, Shell scripting, hardware assembly, and network protocols and the ability to set up VPN's/Wans/Lans. An understanding of NT, 2000 and other Microsoft applications is desirable. Position duties include but not limited to:
- Update and Resolve Trouble tickets
- Work with DBA for database issues
- Perform/Validate backups and restores
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Submit and follow through Change Control.
- Patch Installs
- Printer/X-terminal Support
- May be asked to assist with PC and Networking activities
- Scripting with Python, PHP, and Shell
- Java development.
- Experience with JBoss, Zope, Apache, DNS, Firewall.
